The appointment with the meetings promoted by LIFE SHepForBio in the framework of its training and support to pastoral activities continues. Appointment on 29 November at Offine di Capodarno in Stia for the event ‘The protection dog: state of the art and future prospects’, organised by the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi and DifeSattiva in collaboration with LIFE ShepForBio.
The shepherd dog has always been a fundamental tool for the protection of flocks from predators, a precious ally not only of all shepherds but also of the wolf itself: in fact, with its valuable work it reduces the incidence of predation, and consequently man-wolf conflict. The conference will discuss the projects carried out in recent years by the National Park and many other protected areas, but not only.
The event can accommodate a maximum of 60 participants.
