On 9 March, starting at 9.30 a.m., at the Mercatale Espositiva di Corezzo (Chiusi della Verna), the event “The Wood between tradition and innovation: the Land Association” will be held, organised by ANCI Toscana within the framework of the PS GO FORLEAVES project in collaboration with LIFE ShepForBio. Theme of the meeting, the development of new models of community land management aimed at recomposing the fragmentation of properties and abandoned lands, and at boosting the socio-economic and environmental development of inland areas.
In fact, one of the objectives of the LIFE ShepForBio project is to promote in the Frassineta fraction, in Vallesanta (Chiusi della Verna), the only privately-owned area of intervention of the project, the birth of a Land Association that will bring together the owners of the pastures that are now abandoned, promoting their pastoral use in line with the objectives of habitat restoration and protection.
